Listed below are all the public libraries for the Portsmouth City Council area. The Central Library can supply all the following services and more; books, talking books, recorded music, videos, DVDs, CD-ROMs, Playstation games, business information, local history information, genealogical research and free internet and e-mail. All of the other libraries listed provide free internet and e-mail amongst their services. A government funded programme to give everyone in the country free access to computers and the Internet in public libraries took place in 2003.
