To present the collective views of Emsworth in the Emsworth Design Statement about those aspects that we feel most keen to retain unchanged, about those we can allow to change and, if changed, how they should fit into the existing structure, are all worth recording. You, the residents, must have some thoughts on all this and we would be pleased to have them. Havant Borough Council is interested in our efforts to produce a Design Statement, and will take notice of it as long as it represents the views of a large number of people and is well presented. If you haven't already got one, please collect one of the forms from the collection box in the Library and write your views on the present look of Emsworth and its future, or join together with any group to which you belong to contribute to its collective thoughts. The emphasis in this project so far has been on publicising the project and its aims. Hopefully from October onwards, with the support of numerous residents we can concentrate on researching and developing the content of the Design Statement. We have no deadline for completing this phase, but we do intend to finish it by June so that editing and organising the format for printing can then be arranged. Our target is to go to print in October next year. |
