This draft is being reviewed by the current core group as
well as those who have not been recently involved. A
reduced version has been produced for a wider circulation.
The review should identify whether any major topics are
missing, whether the sequence of sections is correct, the
relative importance of each section, and the relative
importance of each design point and whether any are
repeats, overlaps or omissions. We hope that the
individuals concerned will complete this review by the 22nd
of October, and once we see the volume and scope of the
comments we can consider the best way forward in terms of
dividing work into small packets for a number of
individuals.
Additional Information
The Langstone group have made use of a consultant and
found his involvement very helpful. We have decided to
have at least a preliminary meeting with him to get his
views on the document to-date, potential pitfalls and
processes for the way forward. He has already verbally
made a large number of helpful comments and these are
currently being transcribed ready for circulation. An
early conclusion of his informal input is that after we
have developed a version 9 of the document we should hold
a workshop, which would be open to all residents, as well
as make formal contact with the business community and
local farmers. This will enable us to get wider input
into the draft document before seeing the council.
Next Meeting
The next core group meeting will be held after the
comments have been assessed and hopefully a way forward
identified. By that time we will also have met with the
consultant, and with Vicky Blamire from the Conservancy.
As well as discussing the results of these meetings, we
would consider the best way of communicating with the
residents, businesses etc.
